Ligue Chrtienne Esprantiste Internationale
Christian League International Esperanto (in Esperanto : or was founded in 1911 during the Universal Congress of Esperanto in Antwerp. It brings together Christians of various stripes, mainly churches from the Reformation. Its bimonthly magazine now, Dia Regno had appeared earlier, in 1908 , when Paul Hbner was certain that at least 5 people would subscribe. Now it serves as a link between members and stakeholders in 48 countries and from many denominations, from Adventist and Quakers to the Lutherans , Calvinists , Anglicans and Orthodox.
From the beginning we had to get a basic literature. In 1912 appeared the New Testament and in 1926 the Bible with the Old Testament , translated by Zamenhof (published not by a private publishing but by the British and Foreign Bible Society). Thus it is regularly available in bookstores biblical world. An edition including deutrocannoniques books (translated by the Dutch Berveling Gertie ) was published in 2003. Since 1971 the KELI has a collection of hymns Official Adoru Kante with 262 hymns , mostly classics, from many countries and languages, with a four-part music, a beautiful book of professional quality. Later in the conference, much has used a collection of more modest appearance, Tero kaj cielo Kantu with 161 numbers, rather modern. A collection liturgical ecumenical , Adoru, including texts, prayers and hymns was published in June 2001.
After the last war KELI began organizing annual conferences, with a program prepared with care, work, study, entertainment, meeting with the host country and contact with local churches. Increasingly, because of good contact with the IKUE , Roman Catholic union Esperanto (in Esperanto : Internacia Katolika Unuio Esperantista), annual conferences are often common, so ecumenical. The first time was in 1968 in Limburg an der Lahn. They attract between 90 and 200 participants, not necessarily members of the KELI or the IKUE. On the occasion of the Universal Congress of Esperanto , the IKUE KELI and attempt to offer religious services, if possible ecumenical. Often, these are the moments of the program of the week's busiest convention. KELI from the start supported the work with blind Dutchman Jacques Tuinder , known by the acronym E3, or now obvious. Currently assistance focuses on Albania , but remember other poles of misery because of ill-clairvoyance.
The action of KELI faces in two directions: to inform on Esperanto among the churches or groups Christians , and inform the Christian community in Esperanto.
