Judaism is one of the trends of contemporary religious Judaism. It is affiliated with the World Union for Progressive Judaism is the majority opinion in the United States and contains about one and a half million Jews in the world. He advocates an adaptation of Jewish ritual life in the modern world. He said he does not abandon the principles theological, moral and spiritual needs of traditional Judaism and turned to the problems created by social evolution, science, politics of humanity to contribute to their solution. He does not forget the universal vocation of Judaism as illustrated by the ever present message of the great prophets of the Bible.

Liberal Jewish Movement of France claims to live a Judaism true to the spirit of Jewish tradition, open to the modern world, accessible to all, while retaining the fundamental requirement of morality and spirituality of the Fathers. He wants his children to pass the great lessons of generosity and listening accompanying the message of Judaism. The primary goal of Judaism, which exists and grows over a century and a half, is to allow more Jews to learn, study, live and teach the lessons and precepts of our religion.

Guided by the Word of God, translated into fundamental moral and spiritual laws, Judaism accepts the mitzvot (the commandments) that achieve this ideal. Judaism sees ritual as means not an end in itself. Thus, it focuses on everything in our tradition, our religion is a driving force of humanity, especially the spirit and message of the prophets of Israel, as well as the Psalms, of Ecclesiastes or Job, the extraordinary resilience that are the Talmudic discussions. The strength of the thought of these rabbis as it appears in the Midrash, the reflection of the Jews of the Middle Ages that contributed to the development of world philosophy and the importance of modern Jewish thought at the world plan brightness along the lines of the prophecy of Isaiah: "I have made you a light to the nations."

To achieve this goal, at first glance, is not very different from that of Judaism, Judaism offers an approach, methods, means in the original spirit of the tradition as taught by the prophets and masters of the Talmud, the Midrash and large-makers and thinkers of later ages. Judaism believes that Judaism is the product of successive generations who, from an initial revelation, forged by their intellectual and spiritual quest for a religion that is both universal and particularistic allowing a chosen people for that, to accomplish a mission to all human beings.

In terms of liturgy, Judaism has introduced a number of reforms designed to make worship more attractive and understandable to the faithful few Hebraists often, so it makes next to Hebrew, the language use the country. Moreover, it shortens the offices by eliminating duplication and take out the passages that seem more in line with modern realities (sacrifice, worship priestly inferiority of women, etc..). It resorts to the use of musical instruments and singers to lead the community. At the synagogue, it does not separate men from women. In terms of individual practice, Judaism insists first on the importance of doing, of personal commitment. He says there are mitzvot in a hierarchy. Finally he rejects the logic of "all or nothing" that leads many of our fellow Jews, unable to reach a full practice of law, to waive any religious act.
