King Benjamin is a character from the Book of Mormon.
According to the story, he lived in the second century BC. AD (see Omni 1; Words of Mormon 1; Mosiah 1-6).
He was prophet and king. He had to face major problems for bringing peace in the country. He instructed his son, and conferred the kingdom to his son Mosiah. His people gathered to hear his last speech. He spoke to his people who then made a covenant with the Lord.
