The Kabbalah Centre is a spiritual movement founded by a former insurance agent, Philip Berg , whose head office is in New York. This movement is part of the global phenomenon of new religious movements born in the West since the 1960s (see New Age ).

Philip Berg says he wants to reveal the teachings of the Kabbalah (mystical tradition of Judaism ) to a non- Jew. Its message is based mainly on reading the Zohar , Kabbalah history book written in Aramaic, including the Centre sells original connected in twenty-three volumes. According to Berg, the knowledge of Aramaic and the Hebrew are useless to be a member of the Kabbalah Centre (himself confesses not to know): "it is not necessary to understand the words, but they must be pronounce it correctly. "
