Kab Ibn Zuhayr

Kab ibn Zouhayr is an Arab poet of the seventh century.

Eldest son of the poet Zouhayr , he laughed in his first works of Islam , but he was converted after the capture of Mecca by Muslims, and wrote the ode Baanat Souad al-Burda Qasidat nicknamed "poem mantle, because after having heard the Prophet would have given him his mantle (Burda).

This ode is not to be confused with other al-Burda Qasidat Bousiri.
