The Journal of the oceans is a scientific journal in existence since 1945 and available electronically since September 2008.
Published by the League of Oceanistes , this journal aims to publish all scientific article on Oceania (broadly defined) and especially on the present and the past of his people. In recent years, each volume is constructed around a topical theme plus the usual columns of the magazine (miscellany, news, book reviews and lists of books received).
The Journal of the Society of Oceanistes publishes two issues per year (or a double issue) with the support of CNRS and the National Book Centre. Numbers more than three years are freely available on the portal revues.org. Numbers less than three years are available online at Cairns since 2010.
