Jos Manuel Balmaceda Fernndez ( Hacienda Bucalemu , 19 July 1840 - Santiago , 19 September 1891 ) was President of Chile between 1886 and 1891.

Biography

Son of Senator Jos Manuel Balmaceda and Encarnacin Fernndez, Jos Manuel Balmaceda Fernndez studied at the College de los Corazones Sagrados padres franceses to Santiago de Chile and Seminario Conciliar, where grows a vocation to mysticism, he will abandoned shortly afterwards but without becoming anti-religious.
