John Vii Palaeologus
John VII Palaeologus, born about 1370 , died in 1408 at Mount Athos, Byzantine emperor from 1399 to 20 July 1402 , son of Andronicus IV Palaeologus and Maria of Bulgaria.
He captured Constantinople on 14 April 1390 , ruling briefly to the throne his great-grandfather John V , with the help of the Ottoman Sultan Bayezid I , but in turn is driven by his uncle, Manuel II Palaeologus ( September 17 ). It assigned yet power in 1399 , when Manuel II went to Europe for help against the Ottomans. The return of Manuel II in 1402 , he was again expelled from Constantinople and reigns locally Thrace.

He married Eugenie, daughter of Francisco II Gattilusio , lord of Lesbos , including:
