John Mohamed Ben Abdejlil (alternative transcripts: or was a Catholic priest Moroccan , born in Fez in 1904, died in 1979.
Born into a family of Muslim notables of Fez , Mohamed Ben Abdejlil, who had performed the pilgrimage to Mecca with his father, converted to Catholicism in 1928 , with the sponsor the Orientalist Louis Massignon. This conversion causes the sending time in Paris of a confidential French intelligence services in Morocco, who fear it causes unrest in the Protectorate .
