John Bost
Jean Antoine Bost was born was born on 4 March 1817 at Moutier in the canton of Bern in Switzerland and died on 1November 1881 in Paris Ve) was a Protestant pastor.
He founded the Asylums of Laforce, today became the John Bost Foundation.

He is the son of Ami Bost , Protestant pastor, a member of the Revival.
He is the brother of nine other Protestant pastors whose Ami Bost Jr., businessman and father of Helen Bost . He learned the piano and became a pupil of Franz Liszt.
In 1840 , he abandoned his artistic career and want to become like his father, Pastor. He became pastor of the village of La Force ( Dordogne ) in 1844.
In 1846 , he inaugurated the new temple. He decides to build a home for unwanted children: the disabled, orphans, the poor.
24 May 1848 , the first asylum, the Family, is inaugurated. This is the first of nine that will build asylums. The assembly now bears the name John Bost Foundation.
In 1861 he married Eugenie Pontere. The couple had three children: Leila, Caroline and Henry.
