Jewish Virtual Library
The Jewish Virtual Library (JVL) (Jewish Virtual Library) was founded by the (AICE) is a nonprofit organization , non-governmental US-Israel intended to strengthen ties between the two states and to assist in the understanding of history and Jewish culture The Jewish Encyclopedia The Jewish Virtual Library is the Jewish Encyclopedia, on line, the most comprehensive to date. It covers all topics ranging from anti-Semitism to Zionism. It has more than 13,000 articles and 6,000 photographs and maps available online. The library consists of 13 departments: history, women, the Holocaust , travel, Israel and the United States, maps, politics, biographies, Israel, Religion, Judaic Treasures of the Library of Congress , key statistics and references. Each turn is divided into subcategories. Religion in the department are, for example the full text of Tanakh , information on Jewish holidays and articles on relations between Jews, Christians and Muslims. The department policy includes collections relating to American-Israeli relations, the United Nations and the Israeli-Palestinian. The reference section offers a bibliography of over 1,000 books and 1,000 web sites and a glossary of over 1000 words and a chronology of the history of Judaism. Organization
