Jean Galtier Boissiere
Jean Galtier-Boissiere was a writer , polemicist , journalist French and Parisian born on 26 December 1891.
Parisian family he was drafted into the army in 1911 for three years, but he did leave in 1918. He participated in the retreat in September 1914 and advanced to the Marne. He will leave his memories of infantry, marching in one direction then the other without understanding what happens in his novel The flower in the gun. Then follows a long period of war buried.
He created a trench newspaper The Crapouillot which began with a few mimeographed sheets and became a major newspaper after the war. He worked at another newspaper, the chained duck , giving him her paw polemicist.
