Jean Baptiste Duroselle

Jean-Baptiste Duroselle ( 17 November 1917 in Paris - 12 September 1994 at Arradon ) is a French historian.

Summary

Biography

Jean-Baptiste Duroselle studied at the Ecole Normale Superieure. It is first received at the aggregation of history and geography in 1943 and is doctor -s-lettres in 1949.

He taught at the Universities of Saarbrcken and Lille between 1950 and 1958. Lecturer and professor at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris from 1946 to 1983 , he became professor of contemporary history at the Sorbonne from 1970 and director of collection to the National Printing Office.

He is also Chairman of the Commission for the publication of French diplomatic documents and documents relating to the origins of the Second World War , and President of the History Institute of Contemporary International Relations.

He was elected February 10, 1975, full member of the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences (Section of History and Geography), the chair of Victor-Lucien Tapie, and President for 1986.

He was awarded the Balzan Prize (Social Sciences) in 1982 , an officer of the Legion of Honor , Commander of the National Order of Merit and Officer of the Academic Palms

He is one of the founders of the Franco-Italian Historical Studies. Her career
