Jean Androuet Hoop ( 1585 - 1 649 ), is an architect French.

Biography

Son of Baptist , he is also the grand-son of Jacques 1st , architect and theorist French engraver who will be the leading figure of a second Renaissance Baroque changes. John is the architect of Louis XIII.

He built among others the famous horseshoe staircase at Fontainebleau in 1623, the Hotel de Sully from 1624 to 1629, according to architectural principles of the previous century, and other private houses in Paris are typical of the seventeenth century , as Hall Bretonvilliers from 1637 to 1640 (now defunct) and new fortifications around the city. He will participate in the construction of the Pont au Change in 1639.
