International Festival of Geography is an annual event held in Saint-Die-des-Vosges since 1990. The vocation of this city for the geography is the result of the baptism of America in 1507 by members of the Vosges Gymnasium , which Martin Waldseemuller , authors of the first map of the New World.

The festival is under the patronage of the International Geographical Union.

Great interviews, roundtables and panel discussions are complemented by the Book Fair Amerigo Vespucci, the showcase of science Fair Geomatics , Geographic cafes, exhibitions, films and a Salon de la Gastronomie.
