Hassan Bin Ali

Abu Muhammad al-Hasan ibn `Ali ibn Abi Talib called Az-Zaki is the eldest son of Ali and Fatima , the first grand-son of Muhammad. He was born in 624 in the month of Ramadan in the year 3 of the Muslim calendar. According to tradition Shiite , he succeeded his father as the second Imam in 661. He died poisoned in 670 ^Biography

At the death of his father, the people swore allegiance to Hassan as the new caliph. He left al-Kufa with an army of 40,000 men and went to Madayn ( Ctesiphon ). The light hesitant, his supporters rallied gradually Camp Mu `awiyah. Finally he negotiated with Mu `awiyah. This allowed for Hassan money from the public treasury of Kufa and the income of a town near Basra, allowed him to go to Madina with his family .

jada Qays ibn Mu'awiya would have gone to see him seek enforcement of his last promise. Mu'awiya reportedly replied: "Having betrayed your husband, do not you also betray my son?" And he would put to death .
