Hassan Bin Ali
Abu Muhammad al-Hasan ibn `Ali ibn Abi Talib called Az-Zaki is the eldest son of Ali and Fatima , the first grand-son of Muhammad. He was born in 624 in the month of Ramadan in the year 3 of the Muslim calendar. According to tradition Shiite , he succeeded his father as the second Imam in 661. He died poisoned in 670 Biography At the death of his father, the people swore allegiance to Hassan as the new caliph. He left al-Kufa with an army of 40,000 men and went to Madayn ( Ctesiphon ). The light hesitant, his supporters rallied gradually Camp Mu `awiyah. Finally he negotiated with Mu `awiyah. This allowed for Hassan money from the public treasury of Kufa and the income of a town near Basra, allowed him to go to Madina with his family . jada Qays ibn Mu'awiya would have gone to see him seek enforcement of his last promise. Mu'awiya reportedly replied: "Having betrayed your husband, do not you also betray my son?" And he would put to death .
