Hasan Al Askari

Imam Hasan al-Askari ( ) (December 846 - January ^1, 874 ), became the Eleventh Imam Shia Twelver and Alawi. His own name was Hasan bin Ali bin Muhammad.

Birth and family life

Hasan al-Askari was born in Samarra in Iraq. His parents were Ali al-Hadi (the tenth Imam) and Salil. El-Askari title comes from the Arabic word which means army asker. He was married to a slave Byzantine , called Nargis.
