Hamza Ibn Ali Ibn Ahmad
Hamza ibn Ali ibn Ahmad (b. 985 ) (Arabic and Persian ) is an Ismaili of XI century , considered the founder of the religion Druze. He was born in Zozan in Khorasan , then under the reign of Samanids.
Arriving in Cairo in December 1016, he obtained in May 1017 of the caliph Fatimid al-Hakim, the title of Imam and freedom to preach his doctrine openly. He preaches against corruption, polygamy, marriage of divorced people, which causes the hostility of the population. It conflicts with one of his disciples, Muhammad al-Darazi who falsifies his message proclaiming the divinity of the Caliph al-Hakim References
