Free Trade Agreement Central European
Founded in 1992 , the Free Trade Agreement Central European (CEFTA) (English is an economic agreement between the South-East Europe.
Originally complement economic Visegrad Group (V4), CEFTA aims to facilitate the integration of its members to the European Union and to NATO.
Originally consisting of the countries of the Visegrad Group , it has widened between 1992 and 2007, but simultaneously lost members in 2004 and 2007 when they have integrated the European Union.

Members
The founding countries were the Polish , the Czechoslovakia , and Hungary in 1992. In 1993 following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia become members. In 1996 , the Slovenia 's accession to the association, it is followed in 1997 by Romania in 1999 by Bulgaria and in 2002 by Croatia. The organization has now eight members.
In 2004 , Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Slovenia following their entry into the European Union leave CEFTA, which has more then three. The Macedonia became a member in 2006.
On top of Bucharest in 2006, we witnessed the announcement of the departure of Bulgaria and Romania joining the European Union in 2007 and at the same time announcing the accession of Albania , in Bosnia Herzegovina , the Kosovo (under special administration of the UNMIK ) of Moldova , of Montenegro and Serbia , bringing to eight the number of new members in 2007. At the summit, the assumption of future membership of Ukraine is discussed.
Its current members are Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia and Kosovo (under special administration by UNMIK).

Membership Requirements

- Have a Stabilisation and Association with the European Union and a promise of membership.
- Having a free trade area with current members of the ADEC.
Now the criteria for membership from the top of Zagreb in 2005 are:
- Being a member of the WTO or a commitment to comply with all regulations of the WTO.
- Have a Stabilisation and Association with the European Union.

Powers
The process of coordination between member states of COMECON had disappeared with the dissolution of this organization planner. The CEFTA is intended as a temporary structure replacement, expected to disappear eventually, with the aim of helping its members to develop mechanisms for economic cooperation and to intensify their trade until their progressive integration into the ' European Union.
Production
CEFTA was accomplished in three main steps:
- in 1993 , member countries suppressed the rights of customs products that did not affect their domestic economies;
- in 1994 , they decided to reduce taxes third year on manufactured goods;
- in 1997 they finally decided to cut taxes on products affecting their national economies (such as the steel , and textiles ) and 10% reduction per year in taxes on agricultural products.
Consequences
There was a rise in trade but that this represents a significant economic result (8%). However, this increase, even if it is symbolic, demonstrating the ability of these countries to cooperate in economic matters, and to approach in this area of the requirements for eventual membership of the European Union.
