Publications
Alberoni has conducted extensive research in the field of sociology of movements and individuals, especially on the nature of love and relationships between individuals and groups.
The cornerstone of the construction of social thought / philosophical / psychological Alberoni appears and dominates the book Istituzione e Movimento 1977. It is one of the first treaties in the world on sociological sociological analysis of movements within their birth, evolution and death. This book is considered by the scientific community as a fundamental step in the analysis of movements. The concept developed in this book revolves around the concept of the nascent state, the "emerging condition," when the union, ideas, communications are one and gives life to the movement. This initial work was preceded by the book Consumer e societ (1964), which contributed to the formation of school marketing in Italy.
In 1979 , Alberoni publishes Clash lovers who had a worldwide hit. In this book, which later developed the ideas and models of movement and institution, Alberoni argues that the experience of love is in essence the nascent condition of a collective comprising only two people. Alberoni explores the subject thoroughly as possible using the language of love rather than the abstract jargon of psychoanalysis or sociology. This book, while being strictly scientific point of view of innovative language becomes an international bestseller, translated into twenty languages. Edited repeatedly, it is still reprinted in many countries.
He published L'amicizia (1984) and Erotismo (1986), which appears in the book erotic male and female. He then nuziale volo (Garzanti, Milano, 1992) where he focuses on attracting pre-adolescent and adolescent to movie stars and consequently the general tendency of women to seek higher love objects.
His books include Sociology Genesi (1989), which illustrates his theories on the fundamental experience of the nascent state, the differences between nascent and Nirvana, the concept of democracy. It complements the analysis of complex movements and sets institutional born of movements such as Christianity, Islam and Marxism as "cultural civilizations."
Collections of short essays on the subject of collective movements were included in La Sorgente dei sogni (Rizzoli, Milano, 2000). We can usually find his editorials for the Corriere della Sera published by Rizzoli.
Alberoni books are very popular in Italy and worldwide, they have been translated into over twenty languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Hebrew, Turkish, etc.. Publications containing items of Alberoni were singled out by critics. Indeed, he criticizes its lack of scientific analysis and reduces its articles to simple everyday tips regarding current life and love issues.
His last two publications are considered important both in content and style of writing. In particular, it mistero dell'innamoramento, especially in the second part offers an original criticism of the most important theories of love, especially of the French school. Sesso e amore is the first systematic analysis in this area is however a stylistic revolution of the test.
