First Epistle Of John
The First Epistle of John is a book of the New Testament. Although the author of this epistle and the two following does not give his name, the language is so similar to that of John the Apostle is supposed that it was he who wrote all three.
Summary
Chapter 1 urges the saints to enter into communion with God. Chapter 2 emphasizes that the Saints know God through obedience and recommends that they do not love the world. Chapter 3 calls all men to become children of God and love each other. Chapter 4 explains that God is love and those who remain in love. Chapter 5 explains that the saints are born of God through faith in Christ.
