Farid Al Din Attar

Farid al-Din Attar (in Persian : , was a poet Persian (c. 1142 -died between 1190 and 1229), born in Nichapur in Khorasan , where His tomb is located.

Summary

Biography

He left a lucrative business to embrace the doctrine of the Sufis , became a dervish , and indulged in mysticism. He was killed by the Mongols , who invaded his country.

Attar wrote several moral and mystical poetry, the most famous are:
