Fakhr al-Din or Fakhr-al-Din II ( 6 August 1572 - April 13 1635 ) born in the town of Baakline in the Chouf Mountains (modern Lebanon) and now the family feud Hamadeh ("pride of religion ", Arabic : ), emir , the prince of the Druzes of the Maan dynasty and son of the Emir Korkmaz ("without fear" in Turkish ), was master of the mountains of Lebanon and part of the coast of the Middle East.

In 1623 he won the battle of Anjar on a powerful allied army commanded by Mustafa Pasha, Wali of Damascus and composed of Ottoman troops, damascennes and Lebanese troops under the command of the Lebanese hostile feudal lords. Attacked by Murad IV , he was defeated after a vigorous resistance, and was strangled by order of the sultan in 1635.
