Evangelii Nuntiandi
Evangelii Nuntiandi is an apostolic exhortation issued December 8, 1975 by Pope Paul VI following the work of the synod on the theme (of 7 September 1974 to October 26, 1974). It deals with evangelism , and affirms the role of every Christian (and not only ordained priests) in the spread of Catholicism.
It derives its name from the first words of text: Evangelii nuntiandi studium nostrae Hominibus Aetate, that is to say
This apostolic exhortation gave a new missionary zeal to the Catholic Church, and inspired teaching of John Paul II (who had participated in its drafting).
