Evangelical Lutheran Synod Of France And Belgium
The Evangelical Lutheran Church - Synod of France and Belgium, or EEL-SFB, is a church Lutheran confessional in France. It consists of a dozen parishes. Their addresses are listed below.
The EEL-SFB is a member of the European Lutheran Conference and International Lutheran Council History The founding parishes have formed a synod in 1927. Their origin dates back to the clock Lutheran nineteenth century. They eventually left the Church of the Augsburg Confession of Alsace and Lorraine for doctrinal reasons. After the First World War , and especially after the Second, the EEL-SFB open positions based missionaries and congregations outside the Alsace (near Paris among others). The Synod supports churches in francophone Africa , particularly in the areas of training pastors and evangelists and that of literature. Since May 2000, its president is Rev. John Theobald Haessig, who is also pastor of the parish at Chatenay-Malabry Hauts-de-Seine Arrondissement Antony and director of the mission by the media "The Lutheran Hour" Current organization
