Emilie Mallet
Born in Jouy-en-Josas in 1794 and died in Paris in 1856 , Emilie Oberkampf, daughter of industrialist Christophe-Philippe Oberkampf , belongs to a family Protestant. Married to Jules Mallet in 1812 , it contributes to the revival of Protestantism that knows that time and established shelters for children in Paris funded by a subscription managed by the bank of her husband. Canvasser tenacious and skilful negotiator, it advances its projects with the support of the aristocracy and high bourgeoisie both Catholic and Protestant. From 1826 , she met a women's committee in order to learn from the experience of the British Infant Schools to promote the establishment of the nursery school in France where she is a pioneer.
In its effort to preserve the autonomy of the tongue compared to the general provisions of the law Guizot of 1833 concerning the public education , she opposed it, yet his co-religionist. It also resists the Catholic influence promoted in the Empress Eugenie in the Second Empire.
