The ark of the El Transito Synagogue
Built in 1357 by Samuel Halevi Abulafia , Treasurer Peter the Cruel , the synagogue was turned into church during the expulsion of Jews from Spain in 1492. She became the church el Transito by reference to the Dormition of the Virgin. It is now a museum.
Today it houses a museum on Jewish culture of medieval Toledo.
