David Rohl (born 12 September 1950 ) is an Egyptologist and historian who defends English in The Bible - From Myth to History (Not translated in French), a chronology of the ancient Egyptian times and Bible different from that permitted Champollion he called "New Chronology".
Rohl is the editor of the Journal of the Ancient Chronology Forum since 1986.
In 1988 he joined the University College in London to obtain in 1990 a Ph.D. in Ancient History and Egyptology.
He is president of the Sussex Egyptology Society (SES) and publishes Eastern Desert Survey Report. He participated in excavations at Kadesh in Syria for the London Institute of Archaeology in the 1990s.

Egypt
In his books A Test of Time and Legend, the dating of the Pharaohs nineteenth to the XXV Dynasty causes a drastic revision of the accepted chronology of ancient Egypt, and an equally radical revision of the chronologies of Israel and Mesopotamia. According to him, researchers can identify many characters of the Old Testament to names from archaeological excavations.

The Garden of Eden
In addition to his theories on Egypt, Rohl has also about the Old Testament. In its publication Legend: The Genesis of Civilisation, he places the Garden of Eden in the Iranian Azerbaijan , south-east of Tabriz.
