Curopalate
Curopalate (from the Latin care of the palace) is a dignity of the court of Constantinople. It was probably the first steward of the palace, but it soon became purely honorific title: he was the first after those of Caesar and Nobilissimus. It was usually worn by the relatives of the emperor. There was general agreement, however many dynasties including Caucasian Bagratids from the seventh century.
