Classics of Social Science is a digital library based in Saguenay , province of Quebec , in Canada. It is one of the largest virtual libraries specialized sciences. His files are in word processing and downloadable for free. The main goal of this library is to promote access to the intellectual heritage and scientific culture in Quebec.

The founder and volunteer director of the library is Jean-Marie Tremblay , a professor of sociology at the Department of Humanities Cgep de Chicoutimi.

Description

This digital library project brings together many scholars, mostly in the humanities. In 2009, after more than 100,000 hours of work by many volunteers, the library provides approximately 4,000 full-text works, all freely available and freely around the world History

Jean-Marie Tremblay accused some contributors Wikisource having "looted" some text, passed in the public domain and digitized by a team of volunteers Classics of Social Sciences, by putting them on-line in HTML on their website , . The founder of the library has received the Award of Merit Regional Scientific Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean in 2005.
