The Patriarchate of Georgia-Catholicosate or Apostolic Orthodox Church of Georgia is an autocephalous jurisdiction of the Orthodox Church.
The primate of the Church carries the title of Archbishop of Mtskheta and Tbilisi , Catholicos - Patriarch of All Georgia, with residence in Tbilisi (incumbent: His Holiness and His Beatitude Elijah II History The Georgian Orthodox Church, founded in the first century by the Apostle St. Andrew , is one of the oldest autocephalous Orthodox Churches of the world.
