Catholic Aid Association is a nonprofit created on 8 September 1946 by Father Jean Rodhain Organization and Missions

Catholic Relief Services is a service of the Catholic Church in France. Faithful to the initial guidelines set by Bishop Jean Rodhain , CRS takes its support in the social doctrine of the Church to help the poor "without distinction of race, religion or nationality", in respect of Christian charity.

Catholic Relief Services provides assistance through its local diocesan delegations. The association is also a member of Caritas Internationalis (163 members divided into seven geographical areas: Latin America and the Caribbean, North America, Europe, Africa, Middle East and North Africa, Asia and Oceania) and contributes in emergency humanitarian, political or social crisis, poverty and underdevelopment. These shares are held with the associations Caritas local.

Since 1948 , CRS has developed the Home family holiday to enable children whose families are affected by poverty and restrictions, to "regain their health."

Each year in May, the Catholic Relief International is campaigning. In 2005 , the Women campaign, actresses Peace was held with the presence of 25 women from five continents, famous for their action.

The association now has 97 diocesan delegations, 3,900 local staff, 900 volunteers and 62 and three antennas City Saint Pierre Lourdes , the House of Abraham at Jerusalem and the CEDAR specializes in assisting applicants asylum.   • The Cities of Catholic Relief which provides hospitality, accommodation, support and inclusion of people suffering exclusion or disability.
  • Weaving Solidarity Network, which employs more than 1,000 people around a business based on the fabric. 10 000 tons of clothing annually are collected, sorted and included in the workshops. These are then fed into the locker room and shops in solidarity with the Catholic Relief Services, with donation or resale to low-priced second-hand clothes.
