Catholic Association Of French Youth
The Catholic Association of French youth (ACJF) was founded in 1886 by the Legitimist Albert de Mun , opposed to liberalism as the socialist and champion of social reforms in a conservative or even reactionary view.

Organized into local groups and regional federations, it is developing rapidly in the late nineteenth century and the Belle Epoque : 1 500 members in its first congress in Angers in 1887 In the inter-war period to the Fourth Republic His positions change during the period between the wars to those of social Catholicism and Christian Democracy. She provided many executives and politicians parties Christian Democratic inspiration: PDP , RP , CDS ... The JOC becomes a branch of the ACJF, soon joined by the JAC ( Christian Youth Farm ), YCS ( Young Christian Students ), the JMC ( Youth Christian Maritime ) and ICD ( Independent Christian Youth , for the class craft and trade). Under Vichy , some of its former leaders join the collaborationist as Xavier Vallat , while others joined the Resistance , as Franois Valentin - until 1942 after leading the French Legion fighters created by Vallat - or Edmond Michelet.
