Cabaletta

The cabaletta (Italian is a short piece of song lyrics included in a book whose effect is based on the return of the uniform rhythmic pattern.

It cites as one of its earliest examples the aria "La bella imagine," Paride e Elena in Gluck ( 1770 ). But the popularity of the cabaletta was mainly provided by the operas of Rossini.

We then called "cabaletta" in stretto , with final assembly or part, of Italian opera duets, including those of Verdi.
