Burning Bush Biblical

Moses and the Burning Bush, one of the oldest known representation of the episode in the synagogue of Dura Europos.

The burning bush is in the tradition of biblical , the revelation of the God of monotheism to Moses in the land of Midian. So YHVH calls from within the bush that burns without being consumed.

The Burning Bush episode takes place at Mount Sinai.

It is narrated in the book of Exodus , chapter 3.

The tree presented to St. Catherine Monastery in Sinai as the "burning bush" of the Bible is a common bramble (also called "wild mulberry").
