The Festival of Young Musicians Boulevard, commonly known as The Boulevard is a festival of urban music as organized competitive Casablanca , in Morocco. It allows young musical to be known by a wider audience through the competition. The Boulevard has also become one of the main manifestations of what some call the movement Nayda.

History
Created in 1999 by Mohamed Merhar (better known by the diminutive of Momo) and Hicham Bahou, this event was originally thought to be a competition to spend the best training in all three categories in place, namely Rap / Hip Hop , Rock / Metal and Fusion. Over the years, this event has grown and become a reference. The group confirmed today on the new Moroccan scene, the caliber of Bigg (former member of Mafia C ), H-kayne ( Meknes ) Fnaire ( Marrakech ), Zanka flow ( Tangier ) and others, all participated in this competition and have been elected best band in the Boulevard.
The concerts are today the best way for groups of Moroccan underground music to be known by an ever more present and responsive, to be welcomed and supported by national and international media.
Programming
The lineup includes groups in competition but also invited groups of young people who participated in previous editions as well as large national or international training who will contribute to the development of this young Moroccan scene through meetings and workshops.
Organization
The festival lasts four days, according to 4 genres:
Each day is divided into two parts:
- The afternoon takes place at the stage of the RUC, there is competition between different groups beginners. These competitions are called "Scenes Springboard", now held for former slaughterhouse in Casablanca during the month of March.
- The party takes place at the stage of the COC, where groups are known domestic and foreign guests. ( Kreator , Moonspell , Paradise Lost , Gojira , etc. ..)
Since the 2006 edition, the entrance fee to the COC. In the 2006 edition, the price of admission was 20 Dhs for 4 days. In 2007, the price of admission rose to 40 Dh for 4 days, then the entry is completely free after a sponsorship deal with Inwi
Places
Previously, the concerts were held in the hall of the FOL (Federation of secular works).
But since the 2006 edition, the concerts take place in specially equipped stadiums:
- The stage of the RUC
- COC Stadium
- Former slaughterhouse in Casablanca
The Magazine Kunashir
This publication, a graphic symbol to urban and local trend, brings together journalists, artists, illustrators, from the community of Boulevard. The magazine, with its editorial line, plays the role of unifying the creators of alternative music and Moroccan poses as a unifying medium of a generation of young people strongly supports applicants from speaking their language and their environment.
