Biblical Manuscripts
There are several biblical manuscripts. These manuscripts are divided into different categories according to medium or type of writing.
To begin with there:
- the papyrus , made from the marrow of reed, organized in the form of rolls;
- the scrolls , made from the skins of sheep or calf, organized into separate pages.
All manuscripts of New Testament were written in Greek. We distinguish:
- those written in capital letters called " uncial "are the oldest;
- those written in lowercase letters , the most numerous.
