Baalshamin (or Baal Shaman in Aramaic ) is the God of heaven Phoenician , chief deities of most Semitic peoples occupying the eastern Mediterranean , and even revered in Egypt and Rome. Baalshamin is the king of the gods, after having conquered the kingdom of God another, Yam , the god of the seas.
He is the prince and master of the earth, rain and dew, which fought against word , the god of death, sterility and drought. The results of this battle, a seven-year cycle of fertility and plenty or drought and famine follow.
