Asher Ben Yehiel
Rabbeinu Asher ben Yehiel ( 1250 , Germany - 1327 , Toledo , Spain ), said the ( Hebrew "), is a major decision at the time of the Rishonim , the medieval masters. eminent Talmudic scholar , he is student - and son - Rabbi Meir of Rothenburg.
Descended from a long line rabbinical whose origin dates back to Rabbeinu Gershom ben Judah , he is the great-grand-son of Rabbi Eliezer ben Nathan of Mainz , one of guedolei Hador ("Great of his generation" ). Rabbi Yehiel ben his father Rabbi Uri was one of Hassidei Ashkenaz ("Rhineland Pietist"), and one of the companions and Rabbi Yehuda Roqah Hahassid. His son Jacob ben Asher is the author of the code of law called Arbaa Turim.
His work
