The Armenian Catholic Church Armenian Catholic Church and is one of the Eastern Catholic Churches. The primate of the Church carries the title of Catholicos - Patriarch of Cilicia of the Armenians, with residence in Beirut in Lebanon (current holder: His Beatitude Nerses Bedros XIX Tarmouni since 7 October 1999 ).
The Armenian Catholic Church uses the Armenian rite with a specific liturgy.

History
In Central and Eastern Europe
- 1635 : Passage of Armenian Archdiocese of Lviv (then in the Republic of Two Nations , now in Ukraine ) in the jurisdiction of Rome.
- Late seventeenth century : Armenians in the passage of Transylvania (then under the domination of the Habsburgs , now in Romania ) in the jurisdiction of Rome.
In Turkey and the Middle East
- 1701 : foundation of a monastic order Armenian by Mekhithar of Sebaste in Constantinople.
- 1740 : Establishment of the Armenian Catholic Patriarchate of Cilicia by splitting the Catholicosate Armenian Cilicia (after a formal union at the time of the Crusades).
- 1830 : erection of the Armenian Catholic Archdiocese of Constantinople, largely through the efforts of Mr. Bricet, the superior of the Mission St. Benedict in Istanbul.
