Ammar Ibn Yasir


Ammar ibn Yasir ( Arabic : ) was a companion of the Prophet of Islam Muhammad and was already one of his friends in the pre-Islamic period. He was born in 570 during the year of the elephant (in) and is the son of Yasir ibn Amir (in) and Sumayyah bint Khayyat , both originally from Yemen before settling in Mecca and slaves Banu Adi (en) .
