The alpaca is a mammal domestic member of the family of small camelids , such as llama , the guanaco and vicuna. Like the latter, he ruminates but is not classified in the family of ruminants. Depending on their coat there are two types of alpacas: the suri and the huacaya.

The adult alpaca is about 90 inches at the withers and approximately 150 feet to the tip of the ears. He saw a couple of decades.

The animal and human

It's a pet, pleasure and ornament. He is very calm and sweet, with a natural affinity for kids, it keeps some independence without being shy. The Alpaca fiber is very upscale, softer, warmer, stronger and lighter than wool sheep. He can mow all year, but the fleece can be kept 2 or 3 years.
