Priest
Alois Grillmeier was ordained priest on 24 June 1937 for the Society of Jesus (Jesuits).
It teaches fundamental and dogmatic theology from 1948 to 1978 Pullach , and then to Frankfurt. He is particularly recognized for his contributions in Christology.
Cardinal
It was created cardinal by Pope John Paul II , not voter for then aged 84, at the consistory of 26 November 1994 with the title of cardinal-deacon of S. Nicola in Carcere.
