Alessandro Antonelli (born July 14 1798 at Ghemme in the province of Novara , Piedmont , Italy - died on 18 October 1888 in Turin ) is an Italian architect of the nineteenth century.
Biography
Alessandro Antonelli studied at the Accademia di Brera and the Polytechnic of Turin , and then perfected in Rome from 1828 to 1831. From 1836 to 1857 he taught at the Accademia Albertina.
Among his most important achievements include:
- the dome of Basilica San Gaudenzio Novara ( 1841 )
- The Cathedral of Novara (1863-1869)
- Hospice of Orphans Alexandria ( 1855 )
- Rooms at the Palace of Turin ( 1860 )
- The Mole Antonelliana ( 1863 - 1880 ).
- Parish Church Borgolavezzaro
- Fetta di Polenta The (Torino)
In terms of planning , he designed several transformation projects for the cities of Turin ( 1831 ), Novara ( 1857 ) and Ferrara ( 1862 ).
