Albert Jacquard, born in Lyon on 23 December 1925 , is a scientist and essayist French. He is a geneticist and a member of the National Consultative Ethics Committee.
Albert Jacquard spends most of his time to broadcast a speech humanistic designed to promote the evolution of consciousness.
It is one of the supporters of the Right to Housing Association. He is a member of the committee sponsoring the French Coalition for the Decade for the Culture of Peace and Nonviolence. He hosted for 9 years, from September 2001 to July 2010, a daily radio program on France Culture. It is also an advocate of the concept of sustainable decay.

Biography
Coming from a conservative Catholic family and a native of Jura, Albert Jacquard obtained two bachelor Elementary Mathematics and Philosophy in 1943. Very bright student, he entered in 1945 at the Ecole Polytechnique , an engineer came out of the Manufactures of the state in 1948 and join the Statistical Institute where he was also graduated, and became an engineer and organizational method.
At the age of 9 years, a drama upsets her childhood. The family car has an accident in which Albert Jacquard lost his younger brother. Albert Jacquard then turned to academic research: he became a visiting professor at the University of Geneva from 1973 to 1976 , then Associate Professor 1976 to 1992. The University of Paris VI, the tenure of 1978 to 1990 , and the University of Leuven in Belgium prompt 1979 to 1981. The work of Albert Jacquard earned him national recognition: he was appointed an Officer of Legion of Honour and Commander of the National Order of Merit by President Valery Giscard d'Estaing in 1980 , and received the Science Award of the Foundation France the same year, before being appointed to the National Consultative Ethics Committee for 1983 to 1988. After numerous popular science publications and reflection on the human condition, Albert Jacquard was appointed doctor honoris causa of the University of Quebec in 1987 , and the Universities of New Brunswick, Hainaut, and Louvain-la-Neuve. Scientific Adviser to INED for 1990 to 1991 , and still a professor of the Academia di Architettura Ticino, his beautiful pen and his talent earned him the literature prize of the city of Geneva in 1992. Albert Jacquard participates in the National Ethics Advisory Committee. Geneticist, he decided to stop his own work. It is against exploitation for commercial patenting the human genome and whole-life. It is close to moving global justice and is a regular contributor to the newspaper Le Monde Diplomatique. Great humanist, Albert Jacquard is committed to defending the poor. He argues in particular alongside the right to housing association and the Abb Pierre. In 1994 he was a founder of the association Droits Devant!. In 2004 , he sponsored with Edgar Morin list Europe - Democracy - Esperanto for elections to the European Parliament. In November 2005 , he launched the "call of the old" with eight other "old". In 2006, and since September 2005 he was project sponsor Knowledge City of the XXI century for the Seguin Island with Regis Debray , Axel Kahn and Philip Meirieu. During the presidential election of 2007 , he supports the project of Christian Garino , candidate for Esperanto - Freedom. During the legislative elections of June 2007, Albert Jacquard co-chair with Axel Kahn, the support committee of Andre Aschieri in the 9th district of Alpes-Maritimes. It also supports a petition created by victims and relatives of victims of incest and pedophilia. This petition seeks to remove the limitation of sexual crimes against children, so that victims can now file complaints without time restrictions. He is a member of the committee sponsoring the Russell Tribunal on Palestine , whose work began March 4, 2009.
