Biography
Child when he took office, he was then only seven, he is the puppet of the military factions.
During the beginning of his reign, his mother, former Sudanese slave, carries the regency. She brought a lot of black slaves who come into conflict with the Mamluks of Turkish descent backed by those of North African origin. Black slaves in rebellion fought once in 1062 near Cairo and then they are expelled from Egypt in 1067 . In 1073 , thanks to General Armenian governor of Acre, Badr al-Jamali , he managed to restore order in Egypt. But the empire continued to decline. The Seljuks took the Syria and parts of Arabia , but the Ismailis progresses Yemen and India. The Qarmats were defeated by Arab tribes in 1077 and lost their kingdom.
