Al-Mundhir Umayyads of Cordoba |
Abu al-Hakam ibn Muhammad al-Mundhir or Al-Mundhir (Arabic: ), is the son of Muhammad I.. He was born in 844. He succeeded his father as emir Umayyad Cordoba in 886. He died in 888.
Biography
Still heir, he tried to submit Omar Ben Hafsun and end its rebellion in the province of Malaga , but the death of his father prevented him from carrying out this expedition, due to unrest accasions by the estate.
The situation in hand, he again tried to submit Omar, but died during the siege of Bobastro.
