Al Hayat
Al-Hayat ("Life") is a newspaper Daily GP Arabic with a circulation in the Arab world of 110 000 copies. This is the preferred forum of intellectuals supported the U.S. strategy in the Arab world.
Originally Lebanon , the newspaper was bought in 1990 by the Prince of Saudi Arabia , Khalid bin Sultan , but the management team remained in Lebanon. The editorial line is decidedly pro-American positions and aligned with the Saudi official. It is hotly contested by a large part of Arab elites and especially Saudi Arabia.
History
Al-Hayat was founded in 1946 in Lebanon by Kamel Mroue. In 1966, the founder of the newspaper is murdered, then the newspaper was closed in 1976 following the outbreak of the Lebanese civil war. The son of Kamel Mroue, Jamil Mroue, relaunch the newspaper 30 October 1988 with financial support of the Prince Saudi Khalid bin Sultan who became its owner.
