Ahmad Ibn Muhammad Al Tahawi
Imam Ahmad Ibn Muhammad Ibn Salamah ibn Salamah ibn 'Abd Malik Ibn Salamah Al It Is Azdi Tahawi Al Hanafi (843 or 853 to 935) is a great scholar Sunni Hanafi. He was born in 239 and died in 321 of the Hegira. He is the author of reference of the creed of Muslims called Bayan Ul I'tiqd Ahl Sunnah Is (speech on the beliefs of the Sunnis), commonly called Aqdah Ut Tahwiyyah (the belief of At Tahawi).

His status
His contemporaries considered him as a good Muhaddith (scholar of Hadith), and a reliable narrator. He became the most famous Hanafi scholar in Egypt. In the beginning it was rite Shaafa'is then preferred the madhhab of Abu Hanifa , so he knew the rules of fiqh Madhaahib other so that the rules of the four madhhabs him were not foreign.
- Al-Dhahabi said of him: "He was the faqh the Muhaddith the Hafidh, one among the elite, and it was reliable, serious, intelligent and knowledgeable of the fiqh "
His death
He died on a Thursday, early in the month of Dhul Qi'dah in the year 321 of the Hegira. He is buried in the cemetery of Al Qarfah Egypt.
