Abu Muhammad Ibn Al Baitar

Abu Muhammad Ibn al-Baitar (or Abu Muhammad Abdallah Ibn Ahmad Ibn al-Baitar Dhiya al-Din al-Malaq) ( ) is a physician and botanist Arab, born circa 1190 ).

He named plants and describes the use of more than 1400 species. His work will be translated and used throughout the Middle Ages.
